Trillion dollar giveaway

Menendez for Senate and Ryan Alexander · May 3, 2018

Earlier this week, Senator Marco Rubio acknowledged that there is “no evidence whatsoever” that the Trump tax scam had any benefit for the majority of U.S. workers.

Senator Bob Menendez voted against the tax scam because we’ve known all along that it is a trillion dollar giveaway to millionaires and huge corporations. Even worse, thousands of middle class families here in New Jersey will see tax increases to pay for it.

Senator Bob Menendez agrees with Senator Marco Rubio — there’s “no evidence whatsoever” that the tax scam will help the middle class. If you agree too, add your name now.

The Trump tax law eliminates the state and local tax (SALT) deductions, essentially double taxing New Jerseyans while robbing our state and local governments of revenue they need for essential services.

Even though it’s hurting working families in New Jersey, Senator Menendez’s Republican opponent, Bob Hugin supported Trump’s tax scam. It may not surprise you to learn that Hugin — and his former pharmaceutical company — benefited greatly.

Hugin predicted that tax cuts could lead to hundreds of thousands of jobs in the pharmaceutical industry, but his own company spent most of its tax cut buying back its own stock.

Join us in reminding Bob Hugin and the Republicans in the Senate that these tax breaks that go almost entirely to the wealthiest Americans are at the expense of working families.

Together, we can keep fighting to undo this phony giveaway to millionaires and billionaires.
