Carlos A. Medina: “Bob Menendez Has Always Stood Up For NJ Businesses”

New Brunswick, NJ – Today, the Chairman of the Board of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, Carlos A. Medina, released the following statement to personally endorse the reelection of Bob Menendez to the U.S. Senate:

“The 2018 midterm elections are one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime, and I’m taking this step, not because I’m a Democrat – I’m not– but because the stakes couldn’t be higher for New Jersey businesses and workers. Bob Menendez knows that we grow our economy by supporting the small businesses and middle and working class families who are the engine of our economy, not by favoring billionaires through misguided tax policy.

“The 119,000 Hispanic-owned businesses that contribute more than $20 billion to New Jersey’s economy have a strong ally in Bob Menendez. From fighting for working families to expanding opportunities for Latino-owned businesses, to leading the fight against the Trump tax plan, I’m proud to stand with Bob Menendez because he has always stood up for New Jersey businesses.

“And when Donald Trump has used his power to attack our community, Bob Menendez has been there to give a voice to the voiceless. Bob Hugin won’t stand up for us in Congress, because he’s a stranger to our needs as a community in New Jersey and only recently has wandered outside his comfort zone to attend diverse events. We need a fighter in Washington, and that fighter is Bob Menendez.”

Carlos A. Medina is an award-winning business owner and business advocate, who has dedicated his free time to mentoring thousands of small and Hispanic businesses owners. Medina is the head of New Jersey’s largest Chamber – the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce – which was awarded the Nations’s Chamber of the year in 2016 by the USHCC.

Earlier this week, Latino organizations such as  Latino Action Network, NJ Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers, and Hispanic American Political Action Committee released a statement to remind voters that Bob Hugin has never and will never support the Latino community.
