NEWARK, NJ – Today, Michellene Davis, Executive Vice President of Barnabas Health released the following statement showing her support for New Jersey’s Senior U.S. Senator, Bob Menendez:
“For over 25 years in Congress, Senator Bob Menendez has been in our corner. He’s been our fighter when some others have attacked our rights as women and sought to diminish our access to healthcare. He’s been our champion on equal pay for equal work in the face of those who deny a women’s right to earn equally to her male counterpart. He’s celebrated with us during our successes, cried and regrouped with us following setbacks, listened and learned from those acting on the ground and in the trenches, and has above all never backed down in all the years I’ve known him. He’s in our corner, always will be, and if you’re in a fight, there’s nobody better to have right there beside you than my dear friend, Senator Menendez.”
Davis also appeared in a short video and spoke of how Senator Menendez worked with her family when Davis’ mom had Alzheimer’s. “He has been more than just a Senator,” Davis said. “For me and my family he has been a stabilizing force.”
